Sports Missions Training

Sports as a Tool for Planting Churches

On-Site Sports Mission Team Training
The staff of International Sports Federation has developed a detailed curriculum for preparing your team for success on the mission field. The training can be adapted to your circumstance and facilities. Topics include: team building, planning evangelistic sports activities, cross-cultural awareness and adaptation, working with a host missionary, evangelism training, and effective short-term missions and follow up. Our staff has trained more than 200 volunteer sports teams. We have also helped team leaders from all over the United States plan and conduct their own team trainings. Proper training is vital to success. Please call us as you begin to plan for your next project. We will come to you, or your teams can join one of our summer training camps.

Team Leader Support Services
Is it your first time to lead a mission team, or the first time to coordinate a sports mission project? We can help. The staff of International Sports Federation has developed a training specific for team leaders of sports mission projects. We cover topics such as recruiting volunteers, fundraising, planning mission activities, using sports as a mission tool, and working with missionaries. You can attend our annual training, we can come to you, or you can schedule an individual consultation by phone or email.

The staff of International Sports Federation has led, coordinated and participated in mission projects in more than 70 countries. We have been involved in fan friendly events on the scale of the Olympics, and covertly used sports to take the message of God’s grace into some of the darkest places in the world.
